and identify scientific and medical instruments featured in the catalogues
of historic manufacturers and retailers (other than microscopes and related
items). By clicking on the image groups on the left menu, you will be taken
to the respective groupings and, from there, you will find listings of
images associated with their sources. The original full text of these
sources can be found also in this webpage (under the ‘Catalogues and
antique books’ link on the left main menu).
This is a recent addition to this page and
an ongoing work that will be extended during the coming months or years
(currently, it includes only instruments retrieved from Gallenkamp
catalogues published between 1930 and 1977).
