Microscope
514 (unknown
maker; drum-like microscope; mid-19th century)
Microscope 514 is an unusual drum-like
microscope containing a fine adjustment screw making the upper stage-plate
move up or down. The instrument should be dated to the mid-19th
century and the maker is unknown. Nevertheless, similar microscopes were
produced by Trecourt & Oberhaeuser (Figure 1).
