The microscopes in this collection can be explored using several different categories: type (based on similar functions and/or design features), historical period (up to the third quarter of the 19th century, from the late 19th to the early 20th century, and from the second quarter of the 20th century onwards), maker or retailer (including country of origin), and collection reference number.
